HUNDREDS of mothers who work in the sex industry will march through the streets of the West End tomorrow (Saturday) to highlight the effect of government funding cuts on women who work as prostitutes.
The march by the English Collective of Prostitutes will begin at noon in Trafalgar Square (north side) and there will be speeches at the School of Oriental and African Studies at 2pm.
An ECP spokeswoman said: “As the cuts bite more women are being driven into the sex industry. How else are we to support kids through school, especially now Education Maintenance Allowance is gone and other benefits are being slashed.”
