Attackers injure Good Samaritan - Man, 19, treated for eye socket fractures as he tries to help female accosted near Carnaby Street

POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a teenager received injuries to his face when he stepped in to try to prevent an attack on a women in the West End.
The victim, 19, was out for a night with friends and was walking down Ganton Street, W1– near Carnaby Street – at 3.20am on February 13 when he noticed a group of three men and a woman attacking a woman and her two friends further along at the junction with Marshall Street.
He and his friends went to intervene and a fight ensued.
The suspects turned on the man before making off in the direction of Broadwick Street. The victim was treated for fractures to both eye sockets and a cut to his forehead.
