THE frontman of 1990s band Flowered Up died in his Euston home after injecting a fatal dose of heroin, an inquest has heard.
Liam Maher, 41, who's band shot to fame with cult rave anthem Weekender, was discovered at his second floor flat in Burton Street, King's Cross, on October 20 by his girlfriend.
A St Pancras inquest heard on Friday how the popular singer was released from prison 11 days before his death, and had plans to go on holiday and move in with his long-term girlfriend.
He had eight times the fatal level of heroin in his blood when he died.
Recording a verdict of the misuse of drugs, Coroner Sean McGovern said there was no evidence of suicide.
Speaking outside the court, his 18-year-old daughter Tao said: “There hasn't been a day when he hasn't been at the forefront of my mind.”
