FIREFIGHTERS from Blue Watch based at Kentish Town fire station played hosts to a primary school this week as part of a history project exploring the Great Fire of London.
Year Two children from Brookfield School, in Highgate Newtown, spent the morning at the station and were given a question and answer session by firefighters – tracing how the service has changed since the catastrophic events of 1666 – as well as having the chance to explore an engine and practise their own fire-fighting skills with hoses.
