A Teenager has became the latest victim in a spate of knife attacks on youths in north Westminster
THE 18-year-old suffered stab wounds when he was attacked by a group of about 12 people last Thursday, January 13, at around 8pm at the junction of Third Avenue and Harrow Road in north Paddington.
Paramedics treated him at the scene before he was transported to a hospital. He has since been discharged. A man has been charged in connection with the incident but police have appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward with information.
DS Tom Haines, of Westminster Serious Violence Team, said: “This incident involved a big group and there may have been people nearby who saw or heard something or remember seeing a big group in the area.”
Last week Westminster North Labour MP Karen Buck warned that street crime was “at crisis point” in the area following an incident in Queen’s Park in which an 18-year-old was stabbed and other knife attacks in Maida Vale and Harrow Road.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Serious Violence Team on 020 7321 9314/5.
If you wish to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
