1AM RESULTS REPORT
CAMDEN'S Labour Party are celebrating a storming victory in yesterday's Kentish Town by-election. Winner Jenny Headlam-Wells trounced the field as she was elected as a councillor in a ward where the party already holds the other two seats at the Town Hall. Only six months ago, the neighbourhood was represented wholly by Liberal Democrats. Their candidate Nick Russell, himself a former councillor, fell nearly 700 votes short this time. The ballot was called following the death of Labour councillor Dave Horan last month.

Nick Russell (Liberal Democrats) 715
Naomi Aptowitzer (Green) 349
