DETECTIVES late last night (Wednesday) charged a woman with murder after a man’s death under a Tube train at King’s Cross underground station.
The victim, who was 63, is expected to be named by police today. He was wearing women’s clothes when he was struck by a Piccadilly line train during rush-hour on Monday evening.
Nina Kanasingham, 34, of Chichele Road, Cricklewood, is due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
Detectives have examined CCTV and spoke to eye-witnesses to try and establish exactly what happened.
Detective Superintendent Ashley Croft from the British Transport Police said: “It’s really important that we build the clearest possible picture of what took place on the platform and I ask anyone who may have seen the incident to contact us.”
He added: “I would like to thank passengers for the patience and understanding and all London Underground staff who assisted the emergency services in dealing with what happened in a professional and dignified manner.”
