New hope for Sotheby Sotheby Mews Day Centre
Published: 1 October, 2010
PENSIONERS campaigning to save Sotheby Mews Day Centre were heartened this week by the deferral of a consultation process which threatens its future.
Centre users board chairman Henry Bourner said: “Perhaps all the fuss we’ve been making is doing some good after all.”
The consultation was due to begin on Monday this week but has been postponed to later in the autumn to allow more time for discussions with users.
A protest petition is due to be presented to council leader Catherine West on Tuesday.
