Spot the joke? Dog fools passers-by

SHOPPERS in Holloway Road could have been forgiven for thinking that a rather large black and white Dalmatian was about to perform something unpleasant and anti-social on the pavement.
They need not have worried, however, as Spot – although extremely life-like with his legs hooked around a lamppost – is in fact a plastic dog.
He belongs to Colleen Cordell, the owner of Pampered Pets shop on the corner of Landseer Road in Archway. “He looks so life-like that we’ve had people crossing the road to avoid him,” she said. “Others have come by and wanted to stroke him. We put him outside as a joke but now our customers have got used to him they want him to stay.”
