A MAN has been cleared of grievous bodily harm after facing allegations he shot a Gospel Oak youth worker.
But Luis Vicente, 23, appearing at Blackfriars Crown Court, was found guilty of wounding a 16-year-old and possessing a firearm with intent to injure.
Mr Vicente, from Acton Street, King’s Cross, will be sentenced in September.
The charges relate to a shooting outside the Queen’s Crescent Community Centre in January, when a youth worker was hit in the leg and a 16-year-old’s face was grazed by flying bullets.
The youth worker was attempting to defuse a row between up to 30 youths.
He said at the time the man who shot him had later telephoned to apologise.
