A DRINKING trough for horses outside Chalk Farm’s Roundhouse and a Georgian villa in Camden Town have been dubbed “at risk” by English Heritage.
The conservation body’s annual register of listed buildings in danger of decay or under threat from developers includes 53 Camden landmarks.
But while some are in need of attention, acting English Heritage London region director Nigel Barker says there have been some success stories. A former home of French romantic poets Arthur Verlaine and Paul Rimbaud in Royal College Street, Camden Town, which has been on the register for more than a decade, has been removed following a restoration project that has returned the 19th-century property close to its original condition.
