TODDLERS were presented with a batch of new toys on Thursday as the 10 O’Clock Club in Hampstead Heath celebrated its first summer party since being saved from closure less than a year ago.
More than 70 parents, carers and children took part in a fun-filled afternoon, with special balloons, a singalong and homemade cakes.
The celebrations echoed those seen in October when the Queen’s Crescent Community Association (QCCA) struck a deal with the Pre-School Learning Alliance to take over the children’s play centre and save it from closure.
Chairman of the QCCA board of directors Mick Farrant said: “A lot of people turned up, and are really enjoying the service we’re providing.”
