Traditional pub is a real asset

• HAMPSTEAD readers of the New Journal may be distressed to learn that planning applications have been filed with Camden Council to turn the Duke of Hamilton in New End, one of the very last traditional pubs in Hampstead, into two four-bedroom houses.
Apparently the lease has expired and the pub is likely to close by September.
Might the New Journal be interested in campaigning for the applications to be refused on the grounds of loss of a valuable community asset?
