POLICE have seized a pair of American pit bulls and arrested two men following a raid on a home in Islington on Wednesday.
Islington’s Safer Neighbourhoods taskforce and St Peter’s ward Safer Neighbourhoods team seized the dogs under the Dangerous Dogs Act after executing the search warrant at the Packington Square address at about 7am.
Police say neighbours had complained about drug dealing and that dangerous dogs were being bred.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of breeding dangerous dogs and bailed until next month. A 17-year-old man was arrested for breaching court bail.
The dogs, described as being of the American pit bull type, are being held in police kennels.
