A concert is being held tomorrow (Friday) in Our Lady’s Hall, Falkland Road, Kentish Town, to raise funds for the welfare project SanKTus that seeks to support homeless people in the area.
Choral music is being sung by the Toriano Choir, regular performers at the Royal Albert Hall, and the choir of the local church, Our Lady
Help of Christians, while a group of youngsters, aged five to seven, is singing Food Glorious Food from the musical Oliver!
Soloists include 75-year-old Gerry Kirby, passionately singing Irish songs about “The Troubles”; David Goodall, second violinist with the LSO; soprano Jessica Eccleston, head of music at the French Lycee in Kentish Town; and singer-songwriter Clive Barnes.
Also singing is Sophie Habibis, a former Acland Burgley pupil, now in widespread demand at concerts after gaining X Factor stardom last year.
