Song and piano music inspired by poetry, painting, dance and love are to be played by pianist Robin Rubenstein (pictured) and singer / actor David Durham at St Mary the Virgin, Primrose Hill, on Saturday evening.
“There’s something for everyone,” says Robin, creative writing teacher at Acland Burghley for seven years and Tai Chi teacher to staff until last year.
“Pieces range from Schumann’s beautiful song cycle Dichterliebe to Debussy’s Clair de Lune and Poulenc’s unusual song cycle Le Travail du Peintre.”
David Durham has had an exceptionally varied career in the theatre, musicals, opera and TV – and he plays the violin with a number of London orchestras.
