Budding opera singer Islington resident Kezia Bienek (pictured) is singing close to home next week when the English Touring Opera opens its brief three-day London season at the Hackney Empire where she’s worked as part of its front-of-house team.
She’ll be singing among the sopranos in the ETO chorus in Tchaikovsky’s melo-opera, Eugene Onegin on Friday.
Kezia is just at the beginning of her professional career having graduated from Guildhall School of Music last year.
Among her singing roles has been The Queen in The Singing Bone performed at the Arcola Theatre’s opera festival Grimeborn .
The ETO season opens at the Hackney Empire next Thursday with Rossini’s masterpiece The Barber of Seville, repeated on Saturday.
