When I think Adrian Edmondson, all I see is Vyvyan from The Young Ones. Time has moved on and his musical CV has grown ever longer, including a stint touring with the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band.

His punk-folk band The Bad Shepherds play the Union Chapel on November 26 as part of their farewell UK tour, supported by Wreckless Eric.

• Coincidentally, original Bonzo members Roger Ruskin Spear, Rodney Slater and Sam Spoons with Dave Glasson perform as Three Bonzos and a Piano, at Dingwalls on November 27.

• Portugal the Man play Dingwalls (November 17).

• A timely exhibition from the The Movie Poster Art Gallery,“The Manchester Connection”, a celebration of Manchester’s renaissance shows posters of The Smiths, New Order, Happy Mondays, The Stone Roses, The Haçienda and Joy Division. It closes on November 25.

• Punk band Goldblade, just off tour with Crass and fronted by journalist John Robb, play the Camden Centre tomorrow (Nov 18).

• US punk rockers The Dwarves, notorious for their wild shows, play Underworld tonight (November 17).

• Anyone else still listening to Crooked Rain Crooked Rain? To coincide with Stephen Malkmus’ UK tour, the Boogaloo’s Under the Influence special (November 21) features Hatcham Social, Singing Adams, Monto Taxi, Yo Zushi, Timothy Victor, Lewis Blofeld, Nat the Hammer and Depresstival covering Pavement.

• Camden singer Julia Johnson joins The Feeling, Lucie Silvas, Nizlopi, Jamie Woon and more  at the Union Chapel (November 22) to resurrect legendary Marylebone venue the Kashmir Klub in aid of Childline.
