Ever since Georges Moustaki’s Il y avait un Jardin used to spin on my parents’ record player, I’ve had a fascination with those most calmly sung French chansons. Francois & The Atlas Mountains carry on that peaceful tradition with a gently murky track that demands to be heard as night falls. The video features the band doing strange things in a swimming pool.
