LAST week I promised you a story about a Camden musician, some cuddly toys and “Boris bikes”.

In what must be one of the more bizarre tributes to London’s cycle hire scheme, Camden boy Bharathi Anthonysamy (BharaSamy) and his friends have put together The Boris Bike Song, detailing every step of the bike hire process and featuring such lyrical gems as: “My Boris bike’s got two wheels, standaaard, my Boris bike’s got a bell, standaaard...”, and, “ride your Boris bike left, ride your Boris bike right...” What with the special appearances from cuddly Yoshis and Super Mario, I really hope this reaches cult status – see it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zl1EA6qris

• I can’t quite describe how devastated I am at the news this year’s Mencap Little Noise Sessions won’t be at the Union Chapel in Highbury. Apparently they’ve found an equally stunning church in Hackney, where the likes of Example and Sinead O’Connor will headline.
• Better start training for next year’s Camden Crawl, which is set to be a three-day marathon. And if you can’t wait, there’s a whole build-up of events planned to occupy you until then. Don’t forget reduced early bird weekend passes go on sale at www.thecamdencrawl.com at 9am (October 26).

• Camden band Mucky Pups have been doing the circuit for a while so time to show them some proper local support. They play The Bull & Gate on October 14.

• I just need to point out last week’s Record of the Week by Wara was called Wara and they play Roundhouse, on November 7, NOT the date printed last week. Also those little monsters somehow managed to omit the date for The Long Notes’ Underworld gig, which is on October 7.
