JAZZ and classical music recitals are back the Forge arts venue in Camden Town after the summer break.

Tomorrow (Friday), it’s the Troyka jazz trio comprising Kit Downes on organ, Chris Montague on guitar and Josh Blackmore on drums and, next Thursday, it’s the Laura Cole’s contemporary jazz/folk sextet Metamorphi.

On Sunday, the popular Key and Coffee concert series has a clarinet recital given by Rosa Campos Fernandez followed on September 25 by the wonderful award-winning all-girl recorder group Consortium5, an absolute “must hear” for all recorderists. www.forgevenue.org.

Also getting under way this weekend are the fortnightly Sunday family concerts at Lauderdale House, Highgate. The delightful Siskin Trio will be playing music for clarinet, viola and piano at the first concert this Sunday followed on October 2 by the Castalian Quartet playing Britten and Mendelssohn.

The latter concert will be followed by a lunch to raise funds for the Elias Fawcett Trust which supports the family friendlies. Next Thursday evening, September 22, the Constanze Quartet is playing Haydn and Mozart. www.lauderdalehouse.co.uk

Not to be missed by chamber music enthusiasts this Sunday is the second concert in the Tricycle Theatre’s new series of monthly concerts by ace violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen and members of the Honeymead Ensemble.

Their first concert last month was terrific, with the great Schubert cello quintet played to perfection. This Sunday’s concert has a duo of hauntingly beautiful string quartets, Janacek’s Intimate Letters and Schubert’s Death and the Maiden.

Playing alongside Tamsin will be Sophie Lockett violin, Eniko Magyar viola and Gemma Rosefield cello. www.tricycle.co.uk
