Emmy the Great looks so innocent, her album’s named Virtue and there’s a lovely gingerbread factory on the cover. So while naming the first track Dinosaur Sex is a little unexpected, it’s actually a beautiful introduction to her second album. Virtue (out June 13) is a collection of tales Emmy wrote after her atheist fiancé left her for the church. Its elegance is in its simplicity.
