JUST over a month ago in this column I appealed to the Wu-Tang Clan to co-ordinate their diaries and come to Camden en masse. So I’d like to delude myself into thinking a copy of this paper somehow floated across the Atlantic and landed on Method Man’s doorstep, planting the seed of the idea that Camden needed them. Okay, imagination running away there. Still, glad to see they were listening (sort of) – nothing like a bit of Wu-Tang to herald the summer months.
• How’s the diary looking? Once you’ve fitted in the Wu-Tang, a bit of Snoop, the Camden Crawl, Kenwood Concerts, Wireless and Hard Rock Calling, there’s the iTunes Festival at the Roundhouse in July. iTunes has managed to swing Foo Fighters, Paul Simon, Manic Street Preachers, Linkin Park, Beady Eye and Glasvegas. All for free, apply online at www.itunesfestival.com
• Another reminder to NW1 residents that you can get free entry to the Camden Crawl Red Bull Bedroom Jam outdoor stage on Hawley Crescent (April 30-May 1), featuring one of the festival’s highlights, Odd Future. Residents, who must be 14 or over must bring proof of residence and age.
