Famous for bringing Stand Up Poetry to those who do not like poetry, especially the stuff about thwarted love and daffodils. If underpants, sex, gravy and Keith Moon giving the Queen Mother drumming lessons is more of interest, then this is the verbal romp to watch out for. Expect the unexpected. Andy Ross of Food Records fame (the man who signed Blur, Jesus Jones and Idlewild) hosts two afternoons of idiosyncratic and somewhat acoustic performances. Previous participants have included Graham Coxon, Noah and The Whale and Mumford and Sons. Not to be missed.
HARP FOR HANGOVERS (Sun @ Edinboro Castle)
Harp For Hangovers is an original harp and voice duo arranging laid-back versions of rock, pop and indie classics on a 29-string harp accompanied by female vocals. Summer Sundae Weekender has grown from a modest one-day affair into an award winning three day festival boasting over a hundred acts.
