MILES Kane owns the guitar. By ‘owns’ I don’t just mean he has one in his possession, I mean every note he plays (and sings, incidentally) is like an extension of his very being. That’s not to say he’s technically the world’s greatest guitarist but he’s certainly a skilled and to some extent underrated songwriter with a pure northern soul who feels his way through the music. Come Closer proves solo Miles can stand on his own two feet.
