DAVID Bowie loves them, they’re due to appear on Letterman next month, and they don’t even have a UK record deal yet.
Fanfarlo have won approving nods from all the right places and quite deservedly too.
Unfazed by the lack of UK label backing, they released their debut album Reservoir online for only $1 for five months last year and managed to sell 20,000 copies.
So hopefully this tour will push them over the precipice – you can see them at ULU on February 12.
Now they’ve just signed a major deal with Atlantic Records.
They recently recorded a seven-track EP, which will be released on iTunes on February 16 featuring their Smashing Pumpkins cover We Only Come Out at Night as well as reworked versions of six Reservoir tracks.
