CAMDEN’S “ambassadors” to Europe popped over to Bari in southern Italy last week to meet their counterparts from other countries across the Continent.
Seven Brecknock Primary School pupils, accompanied by three teachers, represented the borough on a British Council-funded trip to meet children from countries including Romania, Turkey and Poland.
The five-day gathering was aimed at fostering “European citizenship” and the children visited cathedrals, castles and historic houses.
Brecknock Primary pupil Adome Tecle said: “When I found out I had been selected for the trip, I was so happy I cried.”
