Hundreds of punk music fans in Camden Town for Malcolm McLaren's funeral procession

HUNDREDS of fans lined Camden's streets today (Thursday) to say a final farewell to Malcolm McLaren, the former Sex Pistols manager, as his coffin was carried through on a horse-drawn carriage.
Emblazoned with the words "too fast to live too young to die", the carriage followed cars carrying mourners including Dame Vivienne Westwood along Camden High Street and Chalk Farm Road to Highgate Cemetery. Also part of the funeral cortege was a green double-decker bus, marked with nowhere as its destination and adhorned with the slogan “cash for chaos.”
McLaren died aged 64 earlier this month in a Swiss clinic after being diagnosed with mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer usually associated with exposure to asbestos. Keith Phelps, 45, who travelled from South Wales, said: “I've been a Pistols fan all my life and travelled all around the country to see them. I thought I'd better come to pay my last respects.”
