Red, white and blue note – School choirs on song on the Roundhouse stage

Primrose Hill choir
Torriano choir
Kentish Town choir

Published: 8 April 2010

IT has seen the likes of Bob Dylan and Dizzee Rascal gracing the stage – but on Friday morning the stars on show at the Roundhouse in Chalk Farm were three primary school choirs.

As part of a government-funded singing programme called Sing Up, 180 children from Kentish Town, Torriano and Primrose Hill primary schools concluded a

10-week singing course with a bring-the-house-down performance in front of parents and friends.
