DISTRICT rivals Camden and Islington go head-to-head on Wednesday in the prestigious Finch Trophy.

The Year 6 footballers meet at Market Road, with victory promising the perfect platform to reach the knockout stages.

On Saturday Islington booked their place in the semi-finals of the Kay Trophy after with a 2-0 win over South London.

AJ Folkes opened the scoring with a superb first-time shot into the top corner. The win was wrapped up when Joshua Lord squared the ball for Frankie Chandler to score from close range.

Camden are also on the verge of qualifying for the final four of the Kay Trophy after beating Hackney 5-2 on Saturday at Regent’s Park.

Joe White blasted Camden in front after only five minutes, but Hackney hit back three minutes later.

The hosts edged back in front through Emmanuel Yeboah, before Tommy Nevrkla added a decisive third. Sandy Owuadey was in the right place and the right time to score a fourth, and although Hackney pulled another goal back – it was Camden who had the final say with Yeboah scoring his second of the game.
