ARSENAL is to share some of the secrets behind the club’s worldwide success with potential young business entrepreneurs in Islington.
In an attempt to inspire youngsters to study business, the football club has revealed information about its money-making ventures to researchers from London Metropolitan Business School in Holloway. The initiative offers a breakdown of the way in which sponsorship deals benefit businesses such as Emirates Airlines, which has naming rights for Arsenal’s stadium.
The club’s chief executive, Ivan Gazidis, said: “We hope this project will offer students the chance to see a dynamic business in action.”
Student Dan Abou, from Central Foundation Boys School in Islington, one of almost 20 schools involved in the pilot scheme, said: “When I was young I wanted to be a footballer, but I grew up. Now my career path will be in business.”
