SHE promised to be kind to all God’s creatures – and an abandoned cat was no exception.
Reverend Marjorie Brown, vicar of St Mary’s Church in Elsworthy Road, Primrose Hill, was shocked to find a young cat inside the church.
The homeless moggy, now named Bones, has become the latest addition to the vicarage – to the delight of Rev Brown’s daughter Emily but to the dismay of their other two cats, Smokey and Fatface.
Emily, 23, said: “He was left in a pet carrier with no note or anything.
“I took one look at him and he just had these big eyes and I wanted to take him home. Smokey and Fatface definitely don’t like him, but I think they’ve come to a truce.”
Rev Brown added: “I was really struck by the fact someone in our neighbourhood must have seen the church as a last resort you could turn to if you had no idea who else could help.”
