THE skies over Kentish Town were filled with balloons on Saturday as families turned out in force for the Holy Trinity and St Silas School Summer Fair. The grand finale of the celebrations saw hundreds of balloons with the addresses of the people who bought them let go in a giant race.
The owner of the one that travels the furthest will win a prize. Organised by Parents in Partnership (PIP), the balloon race wrapped up a fantastic day, which included a raffle and tombola, live music, dance, cream teas and delicious food. All the funds raised will go towards school trips that the children will be able to attend for free. Headteacher Annie Williams was thrilled with the sunny celebrations and thanked everyone for their support. “It really was a lovely, lovely community event,” she said.
