ZIPPY tunes, a host of colourful cakes and a fancy-hat competition were just some of the highlights at the recent Hampstead Hill School Garden Party.

As families arrived at St Stephen’s in Pond Street they were greeted by organ grinder Bob West and his lively music, before moving inside to rummage through a host of stalls.

Adults soaked up what little there was of the sun as they enjoyed Pimm’s and strawberries, while there was plenty for the children as they jumped at the chance to get their face painted and take part in a string of fun games.

School principal Andrea Taylor said: “It went very well, there was a real community spirit. We raised £4,500 for charity, which will go to Marie Curie, Henderson Court and St Stephen’s.

“We’d like to thank everyone who came along on the day.”
