THE leader of motorcycle campaign group No To The Bike Parking Tax (NTBPT) has stepped down after three years at the group’s helm.
Warren Djanogly was a thorn in the side of Westminster City Council and brought several unsuccessful court challenges against them in a bid to overturn their policy of charging from £1 per day to £100 a year for motorcycle parking.
In a statement circulated among members this week, he said: “The vast amount of personal time expended, while being beneficial for the campaign was the opposite for an extremely patient and supportive wife and family.”
Mr Djanogly said the campaign would continue with a new leader.
