A COACH ploughed into a Camden Town youth club on Friday when its driver was “caught short”.
The Tates coach was parked outside Castlehaven Community Centre’s Haven Youth Building at 9am when the driver went to the toilet in the rear.
The vehicle rolled forward and struck the Castlehaven Road building, causing £3,000 damage.
Eleanor Botwright, director of the community centre, said: “Fortunately, nobody was walking along the pavement, which is often busy at this time with parents taking kids to school. Thankfully, nobody was hurt.
“I think the driver was a little embarrassed as he wouldn’t come out and talk to us but the company’s insurance company has accepted full liability.”
