CCTV plea in hunt for King’s Cross attackers

CCTV images of men police want to interview

TRANSPORT police hunting a man who punched a woman in the face in an unprovoked attack at King’s Cross station have released CCTV images.

The woman was knocked to the ground and suffered a cut lip, bloody nose and swelling to the face following the assault at about 10.10pm on April 9.

Her male companion was also punched in the face by the attacker.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Stephen McBride said: “This was a particularly nasty and unprovoked attack on a couple who were simply trying to get home after an enjoyable day out in London.

“We’ve followed a number of avenues of inquiry since the incident and I am now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault, as well as anyone else who recognises the men in the CCTV images, to come forward.”
