Damp squib
• PRIMROSE Hill, quiet, empty and dark; it must be November 5, Bonfire Night, another year when the council pretends that there is nothing to celebrate.
Health and safety is a big issue. However, Camden Council uses it as a reason to refuse the celebration of a national event.
If cost is an issue, in the past four years, Camden have paid out a total of £337,234.80 in complaints compensation.
A tiny proportion of this money could have been used for a fireworks display. It really is about time this council got their house in order.
