Shirley Noble
Hanging victim had stopped taking her anti-depressants
A BUSINESSWOMAN hanged herself after suffering from depression, an inquest was told on Tuesday.
St Pancras Coroner’s Court heard that Shirley Noble, 49, who lived in Belsize Avenue, Hampstead, with her husband, Jonathan Archer, died last October.
Ms Noble had worked as a financial auditor in Toronto, Canada, before moving into antique furniture trading in markets across London.
At the time of her death Ms Noble had stopped taking anti-depressants, the inquest was told.
Mr Archer said: “The doctors were monitoring it very carefully but I believe she should have been on anti-depressants much sooner.”
Coroner Dr Andrew Reid, who ruled that she took her own life said: “The time was not sufficient for her husband to save her.”
Outside the court Mr Archer said: “Shirley was absolutely a fighter and a businesswoman. She was most certainly a proud woman.”
